Patriots who follow fools while partisans rewrite the rules.
They glorify a maniac – play the victim, then attack.
The unaware are who’s preferred – ideology averred.
Ignorance they praise, exult, like members of a cargo cult.
They condemn the voice of journalists and vote against their own interests.

A parting shot, a coup de grâce: when all else fails, there’s Marshall [sic] law.
Challenge reason to a draw for propaganda, shock and awe.
Colonels absent without leave.
Transmit only; can’t receive absolution for their deeds: a pocketful of sunflower seeds.

Every time I listen to this sprawling work, I hear something new. It's dense and beautiful, silly and poignant, with groovy juxtapositions of surprising noise and rhythms likely to induce entrainment. art.dmg
This was my gateway into the world of Beauty Pill. I think they are the finest band our city has produced and each of their uniquely different albums is excellent. This was the one that made me a fan. art.dmg
Jane Weaver’s work is uniformly excellent and I’m smitten with her dreamy take on pulsing psychedelia. It’s the perfect blend of proggy retrofuturism and experimental pop. art.dmg
