It’s not like I’m unique, or things have got that bad.
This is just a fit of pique; my jeremiad.
But when offenders act offended, like their dignity’s been bludgeoned,
they blame the world or clutch at pearls, kvetch in highest dudgeon.
Politicians, pundits, sycophants and shills, mansplaining miscreants who label women shrill, bureaucrats, dingbats, ass hats & clowns, entitled pricks’ politics - always punching down, attack dogs, demagogues, fools who threaten synagogues…
Who really needs them?
But as for me, from what I see… I can’t even.
They come at me, throwing shade, casting their aspersions.
The magical-thinking denial brigade of privileged perversion.
Objective truth, it takes a bath, whitewashed with assumption.
Microaggressive sociopaths peddling dysfunction.
Road-rage psychopaths, angry customers, minor celebrities and patronizing hustlers, cancel cultists, dudes with mullets, bullies in the bully pulpit, bad faith, a railing wraith, a basket case, a voter base…
Who really needs them?
And as for the patriarchy… I can’t even.

Every time I listen to this sprawling work, I hear something new. It's dense and beautiful, silly and poignant, with groovy juxtapositions of surprising noise and rhythms likely to induce entrainment. art.dmg
This was my gateway into the world of Beauty Pill. I think they are the finest band our city has produced and each of their uniquely different albums is excellent. This was the one that made me a fan. art.dmg
Jane Weaver’s work is uniformly excellent and I’m smitten with her dreamy take on pulsing psychedelia. It’s the perfect blend of proggy retrofuturism and experimental pop. art.dmg
